“Don’t worry daddy, I’ll make you famous again”

So I will start with my general opinion, then if you click down on the read more tab I will go more into detail *spoiler alert*

Well after over a month of waiting, I finally went to see sinister at the cinema on Saturday night... and I was disappointed :( I’m not sure if it’s because everyone had built it up to be like the greatest film of all time, but it just wasn’t. don’t get me wrong, I hid behind my coat throughout, and jumped constantly and the idea - the storyline - was brilliant, really original and well thought out, but overall the film was really slow, and kept doing that annoying thing where you think something fucked up is going to happen, then it was his daughter up in the night cus she needed a wee. much like insidious, the film was full of jumpy moments and a majorly scary looking demon, but it also did what insidious did about 20 minutes before the end - went completely crap and took away from the whole film. Overall it wasn’t the worst film I’ve ever seen, and I would definitely say it’s worth a watch, but unlike some of my faves I couldn’t watch it over and over and I’ve definitely seen scarier.

"For Grave Encounters, I'm Lance Preston"

So this weekends veiwing of choice was Grave Encounters. Ive wanted to see this for so long after reading good reviews on some of my favourite blogs. I've gotta say, I was really impressed. The acting was awful, granted, but in a way I loved how low budget it was and the awesome mix of comedy and horror. Dont get me wrong though, this is in no way a spoof, i was absolutely terrified throughout. I think the main reason it made me jump so much is because its so drawn out, the jumps arent every 30 seconds like in some films, so your tension has plenty of time inbetween scares to really build up and get your heart racing. definitely worth a watch.

the bad point, as in most hand held camera films, was the ending. sometimes a film should just end, leaving you wanting more, without any clear explanation of what happened (donnie darko and blair witch project being two of my favourite examples) but i dont think this is one of those films - i would have really liked more of a conclusion to the film. However i now hear they are making a second one which makes me think there is a reason they left us hanging...

Last weekend

So this weekend just gone was pretty good! I had just under four hours on my sleeve with the lovely Rachel Baldwin on Saturday afternoon - it was pretty horrific to say the very least. My shoulder, ditch and elbow all in one session meant just after the 3 and a half hour mark i had a little cry and had to give up! but im so so happy with how its coming along so far!

I also had a little time to kill before my appointment, and ended up accidentally spending just under £70.00 on the following treats:

Double wear stay in place powder in Fresco. Double wear stay in place make up in Ivory Rose. Double wear stay in place flawless wear concealer in light medium. Sumptuous extreme mascara in extreme black.
Mint green knitted jumper, £14.00 from  Primark.

After my mini shopping spree and painful time at modern body art I came home and ate Indian food with my parents and watched x factor (and remembered why I don't watch x factor) and it was lovely! good weekend all round.

This week I have been extremely naughty and spent money I don't have on clothes I don't need... story of my life.

firstly this coat that I have been monitoring on eBay for weeks waiting for them to have in my size - and today wa-lah! there it was. I am aware I could have probably got a similar one for cheaper, but this is the nicest one I've seen so far! £44.99 :)

The second naughty thing I did was buy into the whole disco pants thing. I wasn't keen on them at first, but after seeing a few girls seriously pull them off, I decided i probably could too! however, I was not prepared to spend american apparel prices, so I opted for a much cheaper version! £9.99 from missguided.co.uk!
